Stock up, stock down for Chicago Bears-Jacksonville Jaguars

Don’t look now, but the Chicago Bears have won three in a row. And scored five offensive touchdowns in consecutive games. And had a QB rated over 100 in three straight games.

There are a lot of good stats popping up for the Bears after they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday. Stats like “the Bears did years ago.”

We are really entering unknown territory here. And it’s fun! Don’t apologize to whichever opponents it happened to, just enjoy the ride.

Stock up

Caleb Williams, QB – Williams threw four touchdowns and led five touchdown drives. He recovered from his interception to lead four consecutive touchdown drives. This is high-end QB play. It’s what we expected to see and it’s still shocking to see, but oh so fun.

Cole Kmet, TE – If you defended Kmet’s extension last year, it’s time to gloat. And if you were against Kmet’s new deal, you can still admit you were wrong and no one will blame you. Kmet is a legitimate top-10 TE in the league. He is a real all-rounder. Sure, he doesn’t have the flashy numbers of top prospects Travis Kelce or George Kittle, but he blocks, he catches, and hell, he can even get into long tight ends.

Keenan Allen, WR – There are a lot of great candidates for the third spot this week, but I’m going with Allen. During Steven and my livestream during Sunday’s game, we had commentators lamenting the trade for Allen. And it is not uncommon to hear people say things like “All is done, bad trade by Poland” or “We gave up a third party for this?” Allen hasn’t played a major role in the passing game yet, although that changed on Sunday. But he plays a crucial role in the offense, as evidenced by the move he made on Kmet’s first touchdown. And then he can still get open and make tight catches, like he did on fourth down or his first TD catch.

Stock down

Gervon Dexter, DT – Not really a big deal, but he didn’t have the impact on Sunday that we’re used to seeing. He finished the game with one QB hit and one tackle.

Nate Davis, G – It finally happened. Davis was a perfectly healthy scratch. He is now officially benched and will likely leave the team next spring.

Is there anyone I missed? I’m going to choose your own adventure for the third share down because I couldn’t think of anyone who really wasn’t good on Sunday! Sound off in the comments.
