Comedian Jim Gaffigan took a break from playing Tim Walz Saturday evening live to joke about the awkwardness of the mix of people in the room at the Al Smith dinner, and joke that the seating layout was slightly off Family feud.

The comedian took no prisoners, Republican or Democrat, during his roast at the charity event in New York City on Thursday night, awkwardly pointing out the state’s attorney general, Letitia James, standing just feet away from Donald Trump sat – the man who had successfully brought them a $454. m civil fraud case against.

But Trump retaliated by ridiculing Gaffigan for playing Tim Walz SNL when it came to his keynote address.

“The other day Jim played Tim Walz SNLTrump said. “And that will be a very short performance, I hope, Jim. But it was fun while it lasted, right?”

He also hit back at Kamala Harris and Walz’s absence from the charity event.

“Unfortunately, Governor Walz himself is not here, but don’t worry, he will say he is,” Trump said, a reference to VP Hopeful’s false claim that he was in Hong Kong during the Tiananmen Square massacre in June 1989 .China.

“But I have to say, I was shocked to hear that Kamala skipped the Al Smith dinner,” Trump added. “I was really hoping she would come because we can’t get enough of hearing her beautiful laugh. She laughs like crazy. We would recognize it anywhere in this room.”
