Jay Cutler reportedly tried to flee the scene of his drunk driving incident and offered the other driver $2,000 not to involve authorities.

After Cutler, 41, allegedly hit another vehicle in Franklin, Tennessee, the retired football player tried to leave the incident, according to legal documents obtained by We weekly. The victim also claimed that Cutler offered him “$2,000” to “not call the police.”

Cutler was taken into custody for driving under the influence. He was transported to the Williamson County Jail in Nashville. He was charged with driving under the influence, illegal possession of a weapon while intoxicated, implied consent and failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision.

Bail was set at $2,500 for the DUI and another $2,500 for release on recognizance (ROR).
