Camera work gave Yankees fans everywhere a Game 4 panic attack

Jhonkensy Noel’s deep ball in the seventh inning was gone, well into Friday night in Cleveland.

At least that’s what some camera work would have led you to believe.

With the Yankees holding onto a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning in ALCS Game 4, Noel – he of Thursday’s tying run – hit a high, deep drive to left field.

To anyone watching on TV, the crack of the bat and the camera panning into the air made the ball look like it was going deep into the left field stands.

However, the ball remained in the park and Alex Verdugo caught the ball for the clean sheet.

The Yankees escaped trouble in the frame, although Cleveland tied the score in the eighth.

People in the social media space weren’t too happy about feeling like they were being duped.

“The fake camera on that Johnkensy Noel swing scared me to death,” one user wrote on X.

“TBS and the camera crew wanted so badly for Noel’s can of corn to be a home run,” WFAN’s Shaun Morash wrote.

“Heart attack angle from the camera work,” wrote another usage.

“This is the most insane camera work I have ever seen in my life,” said another.

The Yankees took the lead in the top of the ninth against closer Emmanuel Clase, giving them some much-needed life.
