US international Tyler Adams was named in Bournemouth’s squad for the Premier League match against Arsenal on Saturday after recovering from back surgery that has kept him out since July.

Adams, who will captain the US at the 2022 World Cup, had an injury-marred season last year due to problems with his hamstring and back.

‘He lacks some playing time, but that is normal’ Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola said this on Friday. “He feels very good, is doing well, has a good feeling and has trained very well with us during this (international) break. He is ready.”

The return of the 25-year-old Adams should be good news for The team of American coach Mauricio Pochettino will face Jamaica in the two-match quarter-final of the CONCACAF Nations League next month.
