The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed quarterback Trevor Lawrence and rising rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. needed to continue their red-hot connection after their Week 5 win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Thomas has quickly proven himself to be a formidable threat and Lawrence has taken note.

“He’s been great, you know, I’m impressed with how he’s carrying himself,” Lawrence said. “He’s just a hard worker, a quieter guy. But when it comes to playing, he puts in the effort. And I’m impressed with how quickly he’s also improved every week all season and even gotten back to the top. ” He’s learning the offense very quickly in the offseason and I think that’s helped him be able to play fast now, in the season, and I look forward to building that connection over the years.”

Lawrence connected with Thomas for 122 yards on the air week. After the game, he had more praise for the wide receiver and the chemistry between the two seems strong. The vertical play could mean the difference between wins and losses for the Jaguars right now.
