Jayden Daniels is back on the sidelines for the Commanders for the second half of Sunday’s game against the Panthers, but he is no longer wearing his uniform.

Daniels left the game in the first quarter due to x-rays of injured ribs and the team announced early in the second half that he has been ruled out for the remainder of the game. Daniels gave a thumbs up to CBS Sports’ Evan Washburn when asked if he was OK, and he smiled and waved at the fans as he returned to the field.

Head coach Dan Quinn will likely share further details about Daniels’ condition after the game, but there is little reason for the team to bring Daniels back in this game.

The Commanders are 27-0 and there is little reason to think the Panthers are capable of mounting a comeback that would keep the Commanders from improving to 5-2 on the season.
