49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee) ruled out Sunday vs. Chiefs

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a knee injury.

Aiyuk was injured on a 15-yard reception late in the second quarter when Kansas City defensive back Chamarri Conner came in for a tackle that forced the WR’s knee to bend back awkwardly.

He remained on the ground for several minutes and received medical attention before being taken to the sideline and eventually wheeled to the locker room.

Before his departure, Aiyuk had collected 23 yards on two catches.

The 49ers ruled him out for the rest of the game, in the middle of a third-quarter drive that would bring them within two points of the Chiefs, 14–12. After that drive, San Francisco also ruled out WR Deebo Samuel, who had played just three snaps, due to an illness.
