Sunday Night Football, Week 7: Jets-Steelers is a weird Rodgers-Wilson rematch

After a handful of impressive games in the NFL this afternoon, the league’s Sunday schedule comes to a close, as always, with Sunday Night Football. Tonight’s prime time matchup pits a pair of AFC teams against each other in a quarterback matchup that should be somewhat familiar to NFL fans, even if the players are wearing different uniforms than what fans have become accustomed to.

Aaron Rodgers vs. Russell Wilson became somewhat of a rivalry over the past decade as the two quarterbacks played for Green Bay and Seattle. It all started with the Fail Mary – which somehow happened 12 years ago now and during Wilson’s third NFL start – and continued into multiple playoff matches between the two players. In fact, they played each other a total of seven times, including two playoff games, with the home side winning all seven times while Rodgers held a 4–3 lead.

Now Rodgers is a Jet and Wilson is a Steeler, and the latter will make his first start this season after former Bear Justin Fields spent the first six games of the season behind center. Join us to follow this game as we put a bow on the day around the NFL.
