Freezing temperatures possible in parts of Western Washington on Wednesday

For the first time this season, temperatures below freezing are possible on Tuesday evening as clear skies prevail until early Wednesday morning.

Tuesday brings plenty of afternoon sun and cool temperatures. Maximum temperatures remain a few degrees below average.

Rain has fallen consistently over the past eight days, but not abundantly. Monday brought 0.20 inches of rain, which was the most for that stretch. Seattle is still behind this month. The average precipitation for October is 3.91 inches.

A freeze watch is in effect this evening through Wednesday morning. Freezing temperatures are possible in the Cascade foothills and parts of southern Puget Sound and the Interior Southwest.

Wednesday and Thursday will be cloudy and temperatures will be cool. The rain will return during the night from Friday to Sunday, with a chance of snow on Sunday.
