Warm and dry for the coming week. Are you used to that by now?

I will say Thursday and Friday will be comfortable, but the overall trend is keeping temperatures above average. A weak system will approach on Thursday, bringing cooler air and wind gusts up to 60 km per hour. Winds calming down a bit for Friday with breezy conditions up to 25 MPH, it will be a beautiful fall afternoon and evening!

That’s really all we’re looking at for the next few days… but things get interesting in the extended weather forecasts.

A strong low pressure system could bring large amounts of cold air and rain/snow chances next week.

At this point I would avoid getting excited about snow chances on the plains. Ensemble data is split, even the snow data suggests only an inch or two at the airport. The storm will last ~7 days, so we will continue to monitor trends and adjust the forecast as necessary.
