Brianna “Kip” LaPaglia does not recommend dating someone who is in the public eye.

On the same day Zach Bryan confirmed their breakup, the Barstool Sports host’s appearance Halie Welch‘S Talk Toua podcast was released and she didn’t hesitate to express why she doesn’t support people who date celebrities.

“I said on the BFFs (podcast) that I would never date a celebrity,” she admitted during the Oct. 22 episode, recorded before Brianna and Zach publicly talked about their breakup.” Literally never wanted to and then it kind of just happened.

However, when asked why she went against her own rule and dated the country singer, Brianna struggled to find the right words. “Um, I don’t know,” she stammered. “I wish…don’t date famous people.”

She later said: ‘I think it’s better for the mental health not to date a celebrity. It’s a lot.”

Zach, 28, released a statement on his Instagram Story on October 22, writing about his girlfriend of more than one year: “Brianna and I have broken up with each other and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart .”

The “Something in the Orange” singer noted that it had been “an incredibly difficult year personally in the midst of some pretty tough struggles,” adding, “I thought it would be helpful for both of us to go our separate ways .’

Although she expressed feelings of being “blindsided” by her ex, the internet personality revealed that the breakup had happened just a day earlier and that he had posted about it online before she had a chance to process what had happened.

“I wanted to heal privately and I didn’t know he would post that and yesterday we broke up,” Brianna said in a tearful YouTube video on October 22. “I wasn’t ready to do anything in public.”

E! News previously reached out to Zach’s rep for comment and did not hear back.

Brianna, who started dating the Grammy winner in July 2023 after he slid into her DMs, reflected on how the devastating breakup has challenged her view of love.

“I’m at the point where it seems like you can give someone everything and love them so unconditionally because of things you shouldn’t do?” she asked. “I think you just love them, and you see the good in them. How can you give every ounce of yourself to someone and be thrown away in a matter of days? It’s really heartbreaking.”
