Former President Donald Trump will sit down with Joe Rogan on “The Joe Rogan Experience” on Friday in hopes of widening his lead among male voters with less than two weeks to go until Election Day.

Rogan’s podcast is Spotify’s top podcast with 14.5 million followers. His audience is young and male: 81% of his listeners are male and 56% are under 35, according to a 2026 YouGov poll. Polls show it’s a demographic group more likely to support Trump than Vice President Kamala Harris .

The interview will take place in Austin, but the episode’s release date has not yet been announced.

Harris will also be in the Lone Star State on Friday, meeting with Beyonce in Houston.

What did Joe Rogan say about Donald Trump?

Although Rogan’s audience is more likely to support the former president, Rogan himself is not a staunch Trump supporter. In 2020, he supported Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primaries. The same year, he said during a podcast that he would rather vote for Trump than President Joe Biden. However, he later said he voted for libertarian Jo Jorgensen in the 2020 general election.

In August, Rogan earned Trump’s ire after defeating former third-party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. praised and said he was the only candidate who doesn’t “gaslight” you.

“For the record, this is not an endorsement,” Rogan clarified on use more of that in this world.”

In response, Trump said in a post on Truth Social that “it will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan is booed the next time he enters the UFC Ring.”

Joe Rogan has praised Kamala Harris

Recently, Rogan applauded Harris and her campaign.

“Whoever is helping her, whoever is coaching her, whoever is the puppeteer pulling the strings…great job. They have done a great job – from the moment Biden drops out,” Rogan said in a September episode. Say it to my face. ”

Rogan also said Harris was better prepared and responded well to questions during the first presidential debate between Trump and Harris, while ridiculing Trump for repeating the false rumor that Haitian illegal immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, ate cats and dogs.

Rogan has not made an endorsement in the presidential race. In addition to his criticism of Trump, Rogan has also speculated that a Harris administration could lead to a “curtailment” of online freedom of expression.

The gender gap in the 2024 elections

Still, Trump’s appearance on Rogan’s podcast could bolster his support among a group in which he is already strong.

The latest national survey from USA TODAY/Suffolk University shows the gender gap is widening and deepening. Women decisively supported Harris 53% to 36%, while men practically reversed that and supported Trump 53% to 37%. Gender gaps were also observed among Latino and black voters.

If these numbers hold up on Election Day, it would be the largest difference since the gender gap emerged in 1980.

Trump’s appearance on Rogan’s podcast isn’t the only strategy he’s employed to galvanize his male base. Many of his latest tactics, such as attending an NFL game and inserting swear words into his speech, are aimed at exactly that.

According to Reuters, Harris had also considered appearing on the popular podcast in a way that could have helped her make inroads among male voters. However, her campaign said Thursday she would not do so due to scheduling issues.
