Boston hopes to break the skid

The Bruins enter Saturday on a three-game losing streak, and they hope to break it in an Original Six matchup.

Head coach Jim Montgomery and captain Brad Marchand know the problems that plagued Boston at the start of the season. The main focus will be to stay outside the penalty area so that consistency can be maintained.

Montgomery will try to find that as he looks for the best combination outside the fourth line. Matthew Poitras joins Charlie Coyle along with Brad Marchand after his heads-up play in the loss to the Dallas Stars. Pavel Zacha returns to Elias Lindholm’s line, and the Bruins shuffle their defensive combinations for Saturday. Jeremy Swayman gets the starting nod again.

Puck drop for Saturday’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs is scheduled for 7:00 PM ET, and after an hour of pregame you can watch full coverage on NESN.

Here are the expected lines and defensive combinations for the Bruins-Maple Leafs matchup.
