NFL player hospitalized with neck injury after sickening collision with Derrick Henry

Browns defenseman Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah was carted off the field and taken to the hospital with a neck injury after a serious collision with Baltimore Ravens’ Derrick Henry.

Both men appeared injured when they hit the ground, but Owusu-Koramoah fared worse and appeared dazed as he fell on his stomach.

The cart came out and Owusu-Koramoah appeared to slowly raise his fist as the crowd applauded him.

The Browns wrote about X: “Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has been ruled out due to a neck injury. He was taken to a local hospital but has full range of motion in all extremities.”

It was a lengthy delay while Owusu-Koramoah received extensive treatment, with players from both sides gathering to check if he would be okay.

Fans also chanted “JOK” in tribute to the Cleveland star in support – and were rewarded with his raise being the first to indicate that he would be okay in the end.

Henry, meanwhile, scored the touchdown that tied the game, but he ended up on the losing side.

In what will be good news for Owusu-Koramoah when it reaches him in his hospital bed, the Browns recorded one of the upsets of the season by beating the Ravens 29-24.

The Browns also played with Jameis Winston, their backup quarterback, after Deshaun Watson was ruled out for the season with a torn Achilles tendon.

The result moves the Browns to 2-6 on the season, while the Ravens are now 5-3.
