49ers RB Jordan Mason goes to the locker room early vs. Cowboys

San Francisco 49ers running back Jordan Mason left the team’s game against the Dallas Cowboys early Sunday night.

Mason was hurt on a six-yard carry in the first quarter, but ran off the field and never went to the blue medical tent. According to ESPN’s Nick Wagoner, he eventually returned to the game, but ran to the locker room before the half was over.

He is officially questionable to return with a shoulder injury.

The 49ers offense would take the field with just under three minutes left, so it wasn’t a matter of just taking a lead before halftime.

It’s unclear what hurt Mason on the earlier carry, but he did suffer a shoulder injury in Week 6, making him questionable for Week 7 against the Chiefs.

He seemed to get through the game against the Chiefs without any problems, but he won’t be heading to the locker room on Sunday night after just six carries.

Those six transports had not been particularly effective. He only had 18 yards on a long run of six yards.
