Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry was ruled out for the end of Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers with a sprained left ankle.

Curry suffered the injury in the fourth quarter:

He had 18 points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals in 27 minutes before leaving.

Curry is coming off another solid season, averaging 26.4 points, 5.1 assists and 4.5 rebounds in the 2023-2024 season. His career accolades include four NBA championships, two NBA MVP awards and ten All-Star Game appearances.

The 36-year-old also added a gold medal after helping Team USA to a perfect 6-0 record at the Summer Olympics in Paris.

It’s clear that the Warriors need a healthy Curry back to have a shot at the playoffs.

However, the team does have depth in the backcourt to at least tread water, including promising guards Brandin Podziemski and backup De’Anthony Melton. Others taking on more duties include Draymond Green, Jonathan Kuminga and Andrew Wiggins.
