Raiders News: Raiders QB Carter Bradley activated from practice squad

The Las Vegas Raiders expanded the quarterback position this week. Aidan O’Connell’s injury led the Raiders to sign Desmond Ridder to the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad. It was announced that he will be the backup behind Gardner Minshew this week.

Ridder was called in for insurance because Minshew had been struggling lately. He leads the league in turnovers with 10, tied with second-year quarterback Will Levis. If Minshew continues to struggle, we could see Knight sooner rather than later.

While Minshew remains the starting quarterback, the Raiders will have three quarterbacks ready. Carter Bradley and tight end Justin Shorter were activated from the practice squad for the first time this season.

Bradley is the son of Gus Bradley, the defensive coordinator of the Indianapolis Colts. He was drafted out of South Alabama and went 17/34 in the preseason with a touchdown and an interception.

Bradley may be inactive for Sunday’s game, but being activated could mean the position is shortlisted.
