Bears’ D’Andre Swift runs 56 yards for first TD vs. Commanders of the game to score

LANDOVER, Md. – After nearly three quarters of offensive struggle on Sunday, the Chicago Bears needed just two plays and 46 seconds of game time to battle back against the Washington Commanders.

With 54 seconds left in the third quarter, Bears running back D’Andre Swift took a handoff from quarterback Caleb Williams to his left and ran down the Chicago sideline into the end zone for a 56-yard touchdown.

The score – Chicago’s first of the day after being shut down at halftime – gave Washington the lead as Swift racked up most of his 98 rushing yards through three quarters on one play. The Commanders hold a 12-7 lead early in the fourth quarter.
