Omaha’s best chance for rain in a month comes later today! Before rain arrives, it will be a bit breezy with a mix of sun and clouds and high temperatures in the low 80s.

Scattered rain and storms will move into areas west of Omaha as early as 1 p.m. and spread eastward through the rest of the day. A few of the storms could bring hailstorms and high winds, but widespread severe weather is not expected. In Omaha it could rain during the evening drive, but western Iowa has a much better chance of being dry during the drive home. By 8pm tonight everyone should be able to see some of the scattered rain. The variable rain will continue overnight, but everyone looks dry on Tuesday morning. More than half of the region should see rain at some point, but totals will vary widely… from a quick light shower to some heavy rain showers in some spots.

Tuesday will start out in the mid 50s before warming into the mid 80s with mostly sunny skies in the afternoon.

A cold front will bring us into the upper 60s on Wednesday, but we will remain dry with plenty of sunshine.

Before you know it, it will be cooler and warmer on Thursday. A few splashes of rain cannot be ruled out, but at the moment it looks like most of us will stay dry. Highs will be in the mid 70s with a mix of sun and clouds.

Another cold front will bring us back into the upper 60s with plenty of sunshine on Friday.

Saturday will be even cooler with mid 60s and mostly sunny skies.

Sunday will be a little warmer, closer to 70 degrees, with plenty of sunshine.
