NJ Weather: This may be our warmest Halloween in decades. View the records you want to improve.

We don’t expect any complaints from trick-or-treaters this year, with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures in the forecast for Halloween 2024 in the New Jersey area.

Some parts of our region could even get close to record highs on October 31, according to data from the National Weather Service.

As trick-or-treaters take to the streets, afternoon temperatures on Thursday are expected to reach very close to 80 degrees in many areas and possibly even a few degrees higher than that, marking a crack in weather records that have been going on since the 1940s have held up.
