Windy and warm with a high fire danger for the first day of November. Beautiful and more seasonal for the weekend.

It was the hottest Halloween ever recorded! Bridgeport reached 77 degrees with the old record high of 75° set in 2004 and at Windsor Locks it reached 84° with the old record of 82 set in 1946. Some rain showers will move across Connecticut later this morning, but not much. A sunny, windy and warm afternoon is expected with extreme fire danger. A red flag warning is in effect for the risk of bushfire and its rapid spread potential. Beautiful and more seasonal for the first weekend of November. Don’t forget to turn back the clock one hour on Saturday evening and replace the batteries of CO and smoke detectors!

Early this morning: More cloudy, windy and unusually mild. A few fog spots with lows in the mid 50s to mid 60s.

Today: Some morning rain showers, followed by sunshine and increasing wind gusts of 30-35 km/h. Warm with highs in the mid to upper 70s.

This evening: A few passing clouds with lows in the 40s.

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny, windy and cooler. Highs 55-60°.

*Daylight saving time ENDS Sunday, November 3. Set your clock back 1 hour and replace the batteries of the CO and smoke detectors!*

Sunday: A cold and icy start. Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 50s.

Monday: Some showers possible. Partly cloudy with highs 50-55.

Tuesday (election day): More clouds than sun. Milder with highs in the upper 60s.

Wednesday: Partly sunny with highs in the low 70s.
