Las Vegas could feel rain and wind this weekend | Las Vegas weather

A potentially wet and windy weekend is forecast for the Las Vegas Valley, according to the National Weather Service.

There is a 20 percent chance of precipitation on Saturday between 1 and 4 p.m., and the high should be around 69. The Las Vegas airport has had only a trace of rain for the past 112 days as of Saturday.

After a low around 47 degrees in the central valley on Sunday, there is a 20 percent chance of rain before noon on Sunday. Highs should be near 67 with northerly winds of 9-15 mph with gusts up to 15 mph.

North-northwesterly winds of 25 to 27 km/h will continue on Sunday night, with gusts of up to 30 km/h.

Monday should be clear, while Tuesday, Election Day, is expected to have a high of 68 and the warmest day forecast for next week.

Lee Canyon opens its winter sports season on Saturday. Highs are forecast in the low 40s with light winds. Mostly cloudy conditions will turn sunny after a 20 percent chance of snow before 3 p.m.
