Boston wants to turn the page

The Bruins had a rough first month of the season and they’re hoping to turn things around in their first game of a new month.

Boston suffered a brutal 8-2 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes at Lenovo Center on Halloween night. Jim Montgomery continues to try to find answers to help the Black and Gold get back into the form expected of them. Alternate captain David Pastrnak backed his head coach and hoped he and his teammates could break their slump.

The Bruins did not hold a morning skate on Friday, so it is not clear if they will roll out the same lineup as Thursday night. Saturday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers is the first of a back-to-back set for the Black and Gold. They play the Seattle Kraken on Sunday at TD Garden, where they will also celebrate longtime voice Jack Edwards.

Puck drop for Saturday’s Bruins-Flyers matchup at the Wells Fargo Center is scheduled for 1:00 PM ET, and you can watch full coverage on NESN after an hour of pregame.

Here are the expected lines and defensive combinations for Boston and Philadelphia.
