Could Dillon Gabriel be a Day 1 pick in the NFL Draft?

Could Dillon Gabriel be a Day 1 pick in the NFL Draft? The reason I ask this question is because if you look at the top of the NFL Draft, there is no surefire #1 QB in this draft class. Everyone has their opinion, and unfortunately we are not present at the meetings of these NFL front offices, so your assessment may be as good as anyone else’s.

Some like Sheduer Sanders, some don’t. Jalen Milroe and Carson Beck have had ups and downs throughout their college careers, Darts continued to grow and Cam Wards quickly became my QB1 if you look at my latest two-round mock draft that I dropped earlier this week. So?

Could Dillon Gabriel be a Day 1 pick in the NFL Draft?

The story of the 2025 Oregon Ducks started with a big move to the Big Ten, but then they blossomed, with a recent big win against Ohio State, the skies are the limit for the Ducks! Oregon is a top-rated team based on PFF grades and AP polls, and wherever people rank, teams are putting out numbers. They have accomplished this with a strong defense and an offense that balances the run and pass very well. Statistically, none of their offensive weapons are in the top five at their respective positions, but they have put all the pieces together to be the #1 team in the country and undefeated to date.

At the center of it all is Dillon Gabriel, the 6-foot-4 transfer from Oklahoma who also played at UCF. He has been very productive during his six seasons in college, putting up over 3,000 receiving yards if he plays at least 10 games. He does an excellent job distributing the ball and has a high football IQ that NFL teams will love in this draft process.
