Andrew Whitworth stuns as Joe Burrow for Halloween

Joe Burrow was a hit this Halloween, despite the star quarterback himself not being a fan of dressing up for the spooky holiday.

Actor Macaulay Culkin, known for his role as Kevin in the “Home Alone” franchise and Burrow’s “alleged doppelgänger,” was the first to dress up as the Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback, playing along with the running joke that the two look alike.

After Culkin sent social media into a frenzy with his costume, former Bengals offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth also decided to dress up as a quarterback for the Halloween broadcast of Thursday Night Football.

During “TNF Nightcap,” Whitworth, Charissa Thompson, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tony Gonzalez and Richard Sherman all dressed up as notable NFL players, making every member of the broadcast laugh.

“I’m Joe Burrow, honey,” Whitworth proudly told the crew. The retired four-time Pro Bowler wore Burrow’s Week 2 gameday fit: a sheer knit black tank top, sunglasses and bleach blonde hair.

The only thing that distinguished the two was Whitworth’s beard.

“I had to represent one of my favorite players @JoeyB before he arrived fit! He may not be playing dress up but I am! Who Dey! 💪🏼,” Whitworth posted on social media on Friday.

Although stars and former NFL players have dressed up as Burrow, the QB said Wednesday that he is determined not to dress up for the holiday because he “doesn’t plan on celebrating anything just for the sake of celebrating it,” adding that he is “not a big dress-up guy. .”

The majority of the TNF crew dressed as NFL players with Cincy ties

All of the crew members dressed as different NFL players, and Whitworth wasn’t the only one who dressed as a Cincinnati legend.

Sherman, the former Seattle Seahawks cornerback, appeared as New York Jets and former Bearcats cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner. Charissa Thompson was Travis Kelce, also a UC alum, of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Here’s who the rest of the crew dressed up as.

  • Charissa Thompson: Chiefs and former Bearcats tight end Travis Kelce.
  • Tony Gonzalez: Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku.
  • Ryan Fitzpatrick: Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones.
  • Richard Sherman: Jets cornerback and UC alum sauce Gardner.

After the game, Jets running back Breece Hall declared Sherman the winner of the TNF costume contest, but quarterback Aaron Rodgers gave it to Whitworth.
