New Orleans Saints star wide receiver Chris Olave is carted off the field after taking a big shot on a play. Olave remained on the ground and the cart was immediately called. Players took a knee around the receiver in what appears to be a serious situation.

The announcers covering the Saints game indicated that Olave moved his hands and arms as he was lifted onto the cart. The blow he took doesn’t appear to have caused any serious damage to his spinal cord, which is great news.

Another video shows the blow Olave received. He collided with two Panthers defenders and was immediately on the ground and not moving.

Olave has already dealt with a concussion this season, and another one would add to the growing number of concussions he has had. This is a very serious situation and the hope is that the Saints receiver did not sustain any serious damage.

The good news in all of this is that Olave was able to move his limbs. As he is carted off the field, there is a good chance he will be ruled out for the remainder of the match.
