Trump defeated Harris by capturing at least 270 of the electoral votes needed to win the presidency. His numbers could rise as more votes are counted.

On Tuesday evening, Harris was expected to address her election celebration at Howard University in Washington, D.C., a historically black university where she attended.

“We still have to count votes. We still have states that haven’t been called yet. We will continue to fight overnight to ensure that every vote is counted, that every voice has spoken,” said Harris’ campaign co-chair Cedric. Richmond said Tuesday evening. “So you won’t hear from the vice president tonight, but you will hear from her tomorrow.”
