Country star Zach Bryan’s split from Barstool Sports Personality Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia recently made headlines.

And it looks like it will continue to make headlines for a while.

LaPiglia made sure of that when she went on the BFFs Podcast, which she co-hosts with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards, and told everyone after the breakup. Her opinion is not a good look for the country music star.

“The last year of my life was the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse from this guy,” LaPiglia said. ‘I’m still scared now because I’m scared of him. My brain has been rewired and I’m afraid of making him angry.

LaPiglia then outlined what she called “emotional abuse.”

“There was always some other excuse as to why he treated me so badly and why I cry myself to sleep every night, why he shouted at me,” she said. “And then you wake up, it’s the apology, it’s the ‘I’m going to get better, I need you in my life.'”

LaPiglia claimed that Bryan offered her twelve million dollars and an apartment in New York to sign a non-disclosure agreement after their breakup, but she said she turned that down.

“I was offered a lot of money, like a large sum of money and a few options,” she said. “In principle I would have received the money over the course of three years. I should have handed over all my experiences, everything that I am, to this person. They would watch everything I did.

“I didn’t take any money,” she added. “I don’t accept money. I think that’s below my level. I don’t think you can pay off people you hurt so they can protect you. I think offering this seemingly beautiful relationship millions of dollars to keep it a secret speaks volumes in itself.”

LaPiglia shared specific examples, including one at the Golden Globes in which she claimed Bryan disapproved of her dress.

“Everything that was good, everything good that I did for me, he made sure to ruin it for me,” she said. “He ruined my birthday. He ruined my tour. He ruined the Golden Globes. Everything Brianna did for Brianna, he had to ruin it.”

“I lost myself during this whole relationship,” LaPiglia said. “I don’t even recognize myself anymore. I lost 15 pounds. I didn’t have to lose in the relationship. I didn’t sleep. I was completely isolated from my family, from my friends, from my work.”
