Real Madrid 4-0 Osasuna (November 9, 2024) Game analysis

Real Madrid striker Vinícius Júnior scored a hat-trick to help the LaLiga champions snap a two-match winless run in all competitions with an impressive 4-0 victory over Osasuna on Saturday.

The Brazil international opened the scoring in the 34th minute after taking a pass from Jude Bellingham in his stride to avoid the offside trap and firing an unstoppable strike past goalkeeper Sergio Herrera.

Bellingham restored his goal-scoring instincts by scoring his first goal of the season eight minutes later with a brilliant finish, lobbing the ball over the goalkeeper to extend Real’s lead.

Vinicius rounded off the home side’s victory with goals in the 61st and 69th minutes to help Madrid climb to 27 points in second place, six behind leaders Barcelona. Osasuna is fifth with 21 points.

Madrid’s day was marred by injuries to Éder Militão and Rodrygo, both of whom had to leave the field in the first half. Lucas Vázquez was also substituted at half-time with an apparent knock, exacerbating Madrid’s injury problems.
