Beyoncé continues to make history with her critically acclaimed 2024 album, COWBOY CARTERthe riveting odyssey through country music that has now earned eleven nominations at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

Despite being completely shut out of the 2024 CMA Awards and failing to even land a single nomination, Beyoncé was named in categories across genres at the 2025 Grammy Awards, which will be celebrated on February 2. In addition to the prestigious categories of Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Album of the Year, there are songs from COWBOY CARTER landed in the country, pop, Americana and melodic rap categories. With this round of nominations, Beyoncé officially becomes the most nominated artist in the history of the Grammy Awards, with 99 nods in her storied career. COWBOY CARTER is just behind Michael Jackson’s record Thrillerwhich earned twelve nominations at the 1984 Grammy Awards. 11 nominations is also the most a woman has ever received in a single year at the Grammys.

Miley Cyrus, who was nominated with Beyoncé in the Best Country Duo category for their song “II MOST WANTED,” celebrated the news by saying, “Shotgun rider forever! I love you Beyoncé, congratulations on all your well-deserved nominations!”
