Detroit Lions vs. Houston Texans first half live chat, open discussion

The Detroit Lions and Houston Texans close out the Sunday series of Week 10 games with one of the best matchups of the week. The Lions are off to perhaps their best start in franchise history and appear to be as legitimate Super Bowl contenders as anyone in the league. The Texans aren’t going through a rough patch, but with Nico Collins’ return seemingly imminent (though not this week), their offense could get the spark they need. Meanwhile, their defense has helped them sit at 6-3 through the first nine weeks of the season.

Injuries along the front lines for both teams could be a big storyline this week. The Texans have one of the best pass rushes in football, but they will be without second-year stud Will Anderson Jr. had to postpone due to an ankle injury. That said, the Lions’ elite offensive line will miss its blindside protector. Taylor Decker suffered a shoulder injury midweek and is already out.

In other words: the depth of both teams will be tested on Sunday evening. The Lions have fared worse, and the Texans have also shown themselves to be a pretty resilient team.

So who will come out on top on “Sunday Night Football”? Come discover it together.

This serves as our live chat thread, where you can discuss the game live with our Pride of Detroit community. Simply scroll down to the comments section at the bottom of this page. When halftime arrives, return to the homepage and look forward to our second semi-open thread.

Have fun, be respectful and GO LIONS!
