Update: Northern and Eastern Klamath County and Western Lake County and Central and Eastern Lake County under a wind advisory Wednesday

At 12:23 p.m. Monday, an updated wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service effective for Wednesday between 4 a.m. and 7 p.m. for northern and eastern Klamath County and Western Lake County and Central and Eastern Lake County.

The weather service states: “South winds 30 to 60 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected. Gusts up to 55 mph are possible over the high terrain of the Warner Mountains and Winter Rim.”

“High winds will be blowing around unsecured properties. Tree branches may be blown down and some power outages may occur,” the weather service said. “These strong winds can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure items outdoors.”

Advance Local Weather Alerts is a service from United Robots, which uses machine learning to gather the latest data from the National Weather Service.
