My Chemical Romance Announces 2025 Tour With ‘The Black Parade’

Welcome back to ‘De Zwarte Parade’.

On Tuesday, a day after teasing an upcoming announcement, My Chemical Romance revealed that the band will embark on a stadium tour in 2025 to fully perform their beloved 2006 album, “The Black Parade.”

“Love Live”: The Black Parade North American Tour kicks off in Seattle on July 11 and stops in cities including Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Toronto and Chicago before ending in Tampa, Florida on September 13. Each show has a different support act, with a line-up including Death Cab for Cutie, Alice Cooper, Wallows, Devo and Evanescence.

MCR seemed to drop even more hints about the upcoming tour in their social media post, which included a video of a so-called “great dictator” going out on a balcony to see his subjects in a seemingly dystopian world.

“It has been seventeen years since The Black Parade was sent to the MOAT. During that time, a great dictator has come to power, bringing about ‘THE CONCRETE AGE’; a glorious time of stability and abundance in the history of WEAR,” the caption reads. ‘His Great Immortal Dictator wishes to celebrate our rich and storied culture, fine food and musical entertainment by welcoming you to these great displays of power and determination.

“And for the first time in six thousand two hundred and forty-six days, they will lend their voices and songs, as their work privileges are solemnly restored, by the National Band of His Great Immortal Dictator… The Black Parade. Long live Draag.’

The themes of the visual deviate from the concept of ‘The Black Parade’, which tells the story and reflections of a man with cancer, called ‘The Patient’.
