Wukong is coming to Xbox

Megahit action adventure game Black Myth: Wukong is one of the biggest games of 2024. However, since its launch earlier this year, it has only been available on PlayStation 5 and PC. Now Microsoft gaming CEO Phil Spencer says he knows whether or not that’s the case Black Myth: Wukong is coming to Xbox… he just won’t tell us.

First announced four years ago with a flashy and impressive gameplay trailer, Black Myth: Wukong finally released on August 20 on PC and PS5. The game is heavily inspired by the famous Chinese novel from the Ming Dynasty Travel to the Westquickly became one of the most played games on Steam, defeating juggernauts like Counter Strike, Dota 2, And PUBG. Meanwhile, it also sold well on PS5 and was one of the most downloaded games on Sony’s console, according to publicly available data. In a new report from Game file, former Kotaku editor-in-chief Stephen Totilo spoke with Xbox boss Phil Spencer and its subject Black Myth: Wukong came up because it’s one of the biggest games of 2024, but isn’t on Xbox.

Spencer: I know.

Spencer: (Laugh): I can’t announce that.

So… my conclusion is: yes, Black Myth: Wukong coming to Xbox. The question is: when and how will the Xbox port be announced? My best guess based on Spencer’s response and a recent ESRB leak is that Black Myth: Wukong will be announced for Xbox at this year’s Game Awards. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was released that evening. Place your bets now.
