Replacing Mike Tyson on standby while Jake Paul receives fight offer | Boxing | Sport

Heavyweight boxing legend Butterbean said he is more than ready to replace Mike Tyson if the ex-world champion suffers more health complications before his fight against Jake Paul. Butterbean, whose real name is Eric Esch, is also a 58-year-old former boxer who was best known for his ability to knock people out at will.

The Atlanta native is also eager to fight Paul after repeatedly calling out the YouTuber. Butterbean stepped away from the ring for good after losing his last fight against Kirk Lawton in 2013.

After undergoing a stunning body transformation, he feels more than ready for another battle in the squared circle. So much so that he promised to be in Texas for Tyson’s clash with Paul.

He took to TikTok and said: “Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, I’m going to fight to challenge the winner of the fight, yes. Mike, if you get into a fight again, I’ll be there to take your place. “

Esch retired with 77 wins, 57 by knockout and only 10 defeats to his name. He is fondly remembered by boxing fans as one of the most entertaining fighters to ever grace the sport.

By comparison, Tyson initially retired from boxing with 50 wins, 44 knockouts and six knockouts. His fight with Paul will be a fully sanctioned, professional fight that will count against both fighters’ record.

Tyson has not competed in such a fight since 2005, when he retired on his stool after the sixth round of his match against Kevin McBride. Despite a stomach ulcer causing the first fight to be postponed, Tyson assured fans that his health problems are all behind him.

Tyson tipped the scales at a formidable 233 pounds (16 and a half stone). When asked how he feels about the fight, he said: “Fine. Nobody takes it easy on me. They want to see if I quit or not and I’m still here. All training is now over. The fight is the party, the training is preparation, but the fight is the party.”

Tyson escalated their feud by punching Paul during their final confrontation, causing them to break up. Paul responded to the altercation by touching his cheek and laughing at Tyson.

“The Problem Child” further taunted Tyson in an interview after the incident. He said: “I didn’t even feel it. He’s angry, he’s an angry fairy.

“Mike Tyson, I thought that was a cute punch, buddy, but tomorrow you’re gonna get the fuck knocked out. I’m fucking him, I’m fucking him He hits like a bitch. It’s personal now.
