Jake Paul says he has slowed down Mike Tyson during their fight… and he admitted he could tell the boxing legend was struggling in the ring – and there was no need to knock him out.

El Gallo confirmed what most viewers suspected shortly after earning the unanimous victory at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas… and revealed that he had indeed adjusted his approach after noticing that the 58-year-old was no longer in attack was.

When asked if he had deliberately taken his foot off the accelerator on lap 3, Jake told a reporter that he had… and explained his reason.

“Yes, definitely,” said the 27-year-old. “Definitely a little bit. I wanted to give the fans a show, but I didn’t want to hurt someone who didn’t need to be hurt.”

Jake also claimed that he didn’t really feel much punch from the Baddest Man Alive… but pointed out that this was quite common for him over the course of his fighting career.

As for the fans’ booing in the final minutes of the fight, Jake said he tried his hardest to put on an entertaining show… but he had little to work with when his dance partner “just… survival was in the ring’.

“So I couldn’t really get him to engage me or take pictures and do something super cool or whatever, but I don’t care what people have to say,” Jake added. “They will always have something to say and it is what it is.”
