Dallas Weather: Storms expected Sunday evening and Monday morning

There will be two rounds of storms in North Texas on Sunday night and Monday morning.

Forecast for Sunday: Scattered storms, heavy rain

The first round is on Sunday between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM.

Storms will be scattered Sunday night.

A few will be strong in heavy rain.

Monday Forecast: Strong to severe storms

There will be a squall line early Monday morning.

The strongest storms will occur west of I-35W from approximately 3 a.m. to 6 a.m.

That area could see high winds and even an isolated tornado.

The Metroplex will see rain around 7 a.m. to 9 a.m

There is a wind risk to the I-35 corridor.

The storms will weaken as they reach areas to the east around 9 a.m

Skies are expected to clear by the afternoon and temperatures return to near 70 degrees Celsius later in the day.

Tuesday looks to be very nice, with drier air and sunshine pushing highs into the low 70s.

Cooler air will move in on Wednesday.

With sunshine, highs will reach the low 60s.

Thursday will be the coldest day of the week as the wind will decrease.

Lows will be around 40 in cities and around 30 in remote areas. Some frost and freeze are possible.

Temperatures will return to normal on Thursday and over the weekend.
