The blocked punt dropped the Bears to 4-6 on the season and followed a rough week in the Windy City that started when Eberflus fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron.

The offense showed life under interim play-caller Thomas Brown, but Eberflus faced questions Monday about whether the Bears should have made an extra play to shorten the length of Santos’ potential game-winner.

Eberflus reiterated his stance from Sunday that he was comfortable with Santos’ range from 46 yards.

“We just have to be more solid in the pocket there (with) the field goal protection,” Eberflus said Monday. according to ESPN.
