Alyssa Farah Griffin Gave Dead Silence After Endorsing Trump Rally of ‘Morning Joe’ Hosts

Alyssa Farah Griffin was met with harsh silence on Monday’s episode of “The View” after expressing her opinion that good people should work for Donald Trump and interview him in his second term.

The moment came during the first “Hot Topic” of the day, in which the women discussed their thoughts on “Morning Joe” hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough, revealing that they met with Trump for 90 minutes and planned to ” to restart communication’ with him.

For Farah Griffin and fellow co-host Sara Haines, the decision to meet was the right one – with the former noting that she would probably do the same.

“I would sit down with Donald Trump. I was going to interview Donald Trump. And I’ll go one step further, I hope good people work for him,” said Farah Griffin. “We need to stop demonizing people for supporting a man who just became president of the United States. We have to hope that there are good people around him, and that smart journalists challenge him.”

When she finished, however, she was met with total silence from the crowd, with Ana Navarro immediately responding with a pointed, “Well…” That particular delivery earned a laugh from the crowd.

“I absolutely think this was the right decision,” Haines said at the time. “And I think it’s good that they work on MSNBC. I don’t want only Fox people to see them.

“I don’t need to know their motivation, I just know that silence doesn’t get you anywhere,” she added.

However, Sunny Hostin disagreed, saying a sit-down meeting was not necessary to beat Trump fair and square.

“The bottom line is that now more than ever, America needs a free press willing to speak truth to power,” she said. “I think we need to be very clear about this when we think about and report on the president-elect, and I don’t think you need to sit at Mar-a-Lago for 90 minutes and kiss his ring. to be able to speak the truth and tell a story.”

“The View” airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
