Texans vs. Cowboys Scoring, Live Updates: Houston looks to bounce back on Monday Night Football as Dallas tries for its first home win

The Dallas Cowboys are in free fall: four straight losses, barely competitive in a home game this season, and hamstring surgery that has put Dak Prescott on the shelf until next season. Jerry Jones says there will be no coaching changes during the season, but with the team losing an average of 23 points per home game this year, something needs to change at Jerry World. The Cowboys will look to get a first at home this season, with the Houston Texans making the trip to North Texas fresh off an unusual loss to the Detroit Lions last Sunday night. Houston managed to intercept Jared Goff five times and still lost the game.

However, Houston still has a lead in the AFC South – two games ahead of the Colts in the standings, and having also beaten Indy this season – and will look to increase that lead on Monday Night Football. Receiver Nico Collins, who was activated via IR and added to the 53-man roster but did not play last week, will be full-go after a hamstring injury cost him the last five games.

  • A piece of metal falls from the roof of AT&T Stadium

This is not good. A piece of metal fell from the roof of the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium when the roof was opened during preparations for the stadium. The game will go on as previously scheduled, but the roof will remain closed on a clear North Texas night with temperatures in the low 60s.

  • CeeDee Lamb will play for Cowboys

Inactive Cowboys are in and CeeDee Lamb will play. The All-Pro wide receiver was questionable entering the game with a back injury, but appeared to have avoided a setback in warmups and is not among Dallas’ inactives.

  • Nico Collins in, Will Anderson Jr., Kamari Lassiter out for Texans

The Texans’ inactives are in. Defensive end Will Anderson Jr., who was ruled out Saturday, is one of them. That includes cornerback Kamari Lassiter, who is still sidelined with a concussion.

But not Nico Collins. Houston’s No. 1 receiver returns from a five-game absence with a hamstring injury and will reportedly play without restrictions.
