Today wind and rain, tomorrow cold and snow

CLEVELAND — Get ready for another rainstorm. This afternoon the rain may be heavier, with much stronger winds. I cannot rule out wind gusts of up to 40 to 50 km per hour and the occasional thunderclap. Rain should taper off around sunset as we shift our focus to a RAPID temperature drop. Temperatures will be around 40 degrees and even above 30 degrees in the early evening.

The coldest air arrives after the rain. Winds should ease after midnight through Thursday and temperatures drop into the 30s for highs, along with rain and snow moving in by morning. Accumulations will be light on Thursday. Warm soil, warm air, rain and slush will all counteract any hope of snow accumulation. However, roads may be slippery from Thursday morning through Saturday.
