Steph Curry came up with an outrageous 'solar eclipse' shot that only he could make that left NBA fans stunned

The best shooter of all time has a breathtaking trick shot

Steph Curry’s reputation as the best shooter in basketball history is well deserved.

The Golden State Warriors point guard has made more three-pointers than any player ever in the NBA. His highlight reel is filled with crazy half-court shots, look-away threes and quick yardage efforts that leave defenses helpless.

Curry’s otherworldly shooting ability has made him a four-time NBA champion and two-time Most Valuable Player.

And the 36-year-old superstar – who some say deserves to be considered one of the greatest basketball players of all time – has also thrilled fans over the years with his daring trick shots during pre-game warmups.

Spectators flock to Golden State’s Chase Center home arena hours before tipoff to catch a glimpse of Curry going through his pre-game rituals and to see the breathtaking display of his shooting ability he puts on one particular evening planned. .

This could, for example, take the form of a shot from the players’ tunnel or dozens of three-pointers in a row, without a miss.

And earlier this year, Curry marked the arrival of a solar eclipse that plunged much of the United States into temporary darkness with a specially designed trick shot.

Before a Warriors game against the Dallas Mavericks in August, Curry collected the ball at the top of the key, took a leaping step and hurled the ball high toward the arena ceiling.

Seconds later, the ball sank perfectly through the hoop, without even brushing the edge.

The action surprised the fans present and Curry’s Warriors colleagues were equally impressed.

In a video capturing the moment, posted to the team’s X account, Golden State center Kevon Looney is seen throwing his hands up in disbelief.

Curry, they run off to celebrate with a series of teammates.

The Warriors are off to a great start to the 2024-2025 season and currently sit atop the Western Conference standings with a 9-2 record. And Curry shows no signs of slowing down in his mid-30s, averaging 23.9 points and 6.6 assists per game while shooting 43.2 percent from three-point range.
