Harper Murray leads Nebraska volleyball to sweep Iowa

Sophomore outside hitter Harper Murray of Nebraska is on track for another season of All-American honors and showed it again Wednesday with a match-high 11 kills and a .556 hitting percentage in a sweep of Iowa.

Nebraska was great on both offense and defense in the 25-9, 25-16, 25-17 victory in Coralville, Iowa.

Nebraska’s .472 hitting percentage was the second-highest of the season and the best in a Big Ten game in seven seasons.

And while they defeated the Hawkeyes 9-1, the Huskers held Iowa to .082.

In two matches against Nebraska this season, Iowa failed to score the highest 20 points in any of the six sets.

Second-ranked Nebraska has won 24 straight games since losing at SMU on Sept. 3. Nineteen of the 24 wins were sweeps.
