Chargers RB JK Dobbins ruled out with knee injury against Ravens

INGLEWOOD, Calif. – Los Angeles Chargers running back JK Dobbins retired in the second quarter against his former team, the Baltimore Ravens, due to a knee injury and was ruled out for the rest of the game Monday.

Dobbins had 40 yards on six carries before he was hurt. The Ravens drafted Dobbins in the 2020 second round, but he missed most of two seasons due to injuries.

He signed a one-year contract with the Chargers this offseason.

Dobbins entered the game ranked third in the AFC with 726 yards rushing and averaged 4.8 yards per carry. He is considered a candidate for Comeback Player of the Year after suffering a torn Achilles tendon in last season’s opener.
