November 25, 2:57 PM ET: This piece has been updated with the latest news from Microsoft on the outage of Microsoft 365, Outlook and Microsoft Teams, as well as the latest reports from DownDetector.

Users of Microsoft 365, Outlook and Microsoft Teams had to start the week rough. These services all top the charts at DownDetector, which flags service outages by collecting user reports. The outage started earlier today around 8 a.m. ET, but peaked closer to noon.

Some reports of issues occurred earlier in the day around 4 a.m. ET, about the time Microsoft began investigating the issue, but the issues appear to have caused more problems starting around 8 a.m. ET. There’s a good chance the spike in outage reports is related to people reporting for work to start the week.
