“Who are you?” Meyer asked Wilson.

“Owen,” the actor replied.

“How do I know you?”

“I’m on your team.”

When asked if Wilson thinks Meyer knows who he is now, he said he still doesn’t think so. The coach has now retired from football and is now an analyst at FOX Sports.

Former Florida And State of Ohio coach Urban Meijer A lot of football was played at a high level. And the Gators may be inconsistent right now, but Meyer just saw the team play high-level football in a win LSU.

It led him to praise the Gator coach Billy Napier while also keeping an eye out for the former rival from Florida, whom he still refuses to name.

“I’m going to tell you something, I’m a fan of Coach Napier, and here’s why,” Urban Meyer said The triple option podcast. “I don’t know him, I’ve met him once or twice. They’ve obviously been struggling, but the one thing they haven’t done, like the team in Tallahassee, is quit. They kept fighting.”

As far as barbs go, that’s a pretty brutal one from Meyer.

State of Floridahas naturally struggled to a 1-9 start this season after going 13-0 and winning an ACC title prior to bowl season last year. Florida has had its own problems since then, sitting at just 5-5 with two games to play.

Still, Urban Meyer likes what he sees with the Gators now.

“I hear comments from their excellent quarterback DJ Laway,” said Meijer. “I see things, I hear things clearly and I still know a lot of people there. The swamp was electric. I think Ole ma’am walks into a hornet’s nest here.”
