On the CMA Awards red carpet, Ian Munsick stopped to chat with Holler about his West-soaked digs, his year of nonstop touring and an unexpected gift from his superstar tourmate Lainey Wilson.

Following her Country’s Cool Again tour, in which Munsick was the opening act, the “Watermelon Moonshine” hitmaker gifted him the large belt buckle he wore on the carpet and something much larger.

“At the end of the tour, Lainey gave me this belt buckle, but right afterward she handed me a piece of paper,” he said just before country music’s biggest honors night. He explained, thinking it was just a note, and opened the newspaper to reveal his actual end-of-tour gift from the superstar. “It has a picture of a four-wheeler.”

When he asked her about it, she apparently responded with a simple “vroom vroom.” She had given him a four-wheeler. A ‘4×4 for you’, if you like.

“She is the nicest person ever,” he added.

Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again tour was accompanied by several valuable gifts. Another tour opener, Jackson Dean, recently presented the showrunner with his own unique parting gift.

He gifted Wilson a custom guitar, which he detailed with his intricate wood-burning style. On the body of the guitar, Dean has personally etched a desert scene with two horses, an image inspired by Wilson’s beloved hit “Wildflowers and Wild Horses.”

Dean and Munsick joined Wilson along with Zach Top on the 2023-2024 arena tour, supporting the star on and off for several months.

The Country’s Cool Again tour officially concluded in mid-November with a two-day hometown showcase at the Monroe Civic Center in Monroe, Louisiana, the closest city to the artist’s hometown of Baskin.
