The forecast predicts snowfall in mountainous areas in the western US

AccuWeather Chief On-Air Meteorologist Bernie Rayno said the exhaust followed a storm that made landfall in Northern California and will bring rain and snow to the east two days later.

“There are a lot of variables we’re still analyzing with this storm, with the track and intensity being key to where the rain and snow line will be and the amount of snow that will fall in the Midwest and Northeast,” Rayno said.
