Max, Disney+, Peacock and more

With the endless price hikes and crackdown on password sharing, I think we’re all starting to wonder which streaming services are worth it. Well, these Black Friday sales offer the opportunity to sign up for new services (or services you’ve previously canceled) at the lowest prices you’ll get all year long. I scaled back most of my streaming subscriptions after price increases over the summer, hoping I could get better deals, and luckily I was right.

With sales going live at Hulu, Max, Peacock and more, here’s the lowdown on the best Black Friday streaming deals available right now.

The best Black Friday streaming deals yet

If you know what you’re looking for, these quick links will take you to every major Black Friday streaming sale. If you’re still shopping around, I’ll provide an overview of each specific deal below.

Hulu and Disney+ deals

Hulu Black Friday Sale

Hulu Black Friday Sale

Get 12 months of Hulu (with ads) for $0.99 per month. The offer ends on December 2.

Hulu and Disney+ Black Friday Sale

Hulu and Disney+ Black Friday Sale

Get 12 months of Hulu and Disney+ (with ads) for $2.99 per month. The offer ends on December 2.

We’ve officially confirmed Hulu’s Black Friday deals: new subscribers can get a full year of Hulu (with ads) for $0.99/month (from $9.99/month), or a full year of Hulu and Disney+ bundle (with ads) for $2.99/month (down from $10.99/month).

Hulu recently added Alien: Romulus to a library that includes Adult Swim’s catalog and top series like Always Sunny and New Girl. Meanwhile, Deadpool & Wolverine just appeared on Disney+, where you can still see everything from Disney, Star Wars, Marvel and National Geographic.

If you sign up for Hulu or are already a subscriber, you can also get the Starz add-on (think Outlander, John Wick, and the Hunger Games movies) for the same price: a year for $0.99/month.

Maximum offers

Maximum Black Friday Sale

Maximum Black Friday Sale

Get the first six months of Max (with ads) for $2.99 per month. The offer ends on December 2.

Max has rolled out its one and only Black Friday sale: six months of Max (with ads) for $2.99/month. An ad-supported Max plan typically costs $9.99 per month, so you’ll save $7 per month, for a total of $42 in savings over the six-month deal.

Max is home to HBO and Max originals, with recent releases including The Penguin, The Last of Us and House of the Dragon. Max also has the full catalog of Studio Ghibli and Harry Potter films, as well as recent blockbusters like Dune: Part Two and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Yes, this one is hard to pass up.

Peacock offers

Peacock Black Friday Sale

Peacock Black Friday Sale

Get a full year of Peacock (with ads) for $19.99 OR 6 months for $1.99/month. The offer ends on December 2.

From now until December 2, you can sign up for 12 months of Peacock (with ads) for $19.99, which is a huge savings of $50. Existing subscribers to the free Peacock plan can also use the promo code “REALDEAL” to upgrade, but unfortunately the deal is not available to existing paying subscribers. If a year is a bit too long for you, you can also try out six months for €1.99/month.

This is easily the best streaming deal for live sports: Peacock has the NFL, Premier League, Big Ten Football and WWE. The NBC platform also hosts new releases like Twisters and of course sitcoms like The Office, Parks and Rec, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. With the entire Bravo catalog, it’s also my favorite streaming service for reality TV.

Paramount+ deals

Paramount+ Black Friday Sale

Paramount+ Black Friday Sale

Get your first two months of Paramount+ Essential (with ads) OR Paramount+ with Showtime (without ads) for $2.99 per month. The offer ends on December 4.

Paramount+ offers two different streaming plans, and you can sign up for both now for a price of $2.99 for the first two months. The Paramount+ Essential plan is ad-supported and typically costs $7.99/month, while the Paramount+ with Showtime bundle is ad-free and typically costs $12.99/month. The Paramount+ and Showtime bundle is one of the few ad-free streaming deals I’ve seen so far.

Both subscriptions provide access to the entire catalog of Paramount films, from classics like Gladiator to new releases like Transformers One and Top Gun: Maverick. Paramount has also rolled out original shows like Evil, which ended this year, and the upcoming Dexter sequel series. Both streaming plans include live NFL coverage and the UEFA Champions League, and the Showtime bundle includes 24/7 access to your local CBS station.

Prime Video Deals

Prime Video Black Friday Sale

Prime Video Black Friday Sale

50% off on-demand shows and movies and discounts on channel extensions. The offer ends on December 2.

While Amazon hasn’t discounted its Prime Video subscription, the retail giant has slashed prices on just about everything available to rent or buy on demand. If you’ve been waiting to buy a niche movie that’s nowhere to stream, now’s your chance. If you’re already subscribed to Prime Video, you can also check out discounts on channel add-ons, including Crunchyroll, for just $2 per month.

Is Netflix having a Black Friday sale?

If there’s one streaming service known for price increases and no discounts, it’s Netflix. If you’ve been waiting a long time for a Black Friday deal from the streaming giant, I don’t want to break this news to you: Netflix has never offered a Black Friday sale on subscriptions, and I doubt 2024 is the year that changes. Those prices are sticking.

Black Friday deals on streaming bundles

If you want to combine services, the Paramount+ with Showtime deal (no ads) and the Hulu and Disney+ deal (with ads) are the main streaming bundles available for purchase. If you already have Prime Video (included with a Prime subscription), you can get discounted add-ons, including full libraries from services like Starz and Crunchyroll.

Will streaming deals be better on Black Friday?

We may see more streaming deals announced from other services throughout the week, but I doubt these guys’ deals will get any better. Most of these offers are valid until December 2, so they likely cover both the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales events. If you’re in the market to upgrade your screen, there’s one thing to keep an eye on this week: Amazon’s Black Friday sale on all streaming TV deals.
